The founding father of the Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Shri. Sagar U. Dhole Patil established a scheme in 2016 known as the “Dhole Patil Scholarship Scheme''. This scheme was established for students from economically weaker sections of society who could not afford quality education for their children. The candidates eligible for this scheme have to pay a subsidized amount of the tuition fee as well as the hostel fee. Every year more than 100 students are benefited from this Dhole Patil College of Engineering scholarship scheme.
Another scheme that DPCOE established is the “Kamaltai Ulhas Dhole Patil Scholarship” which was established in 2012 for the financially weaker and deprived students. This has been in force since 2012.
DPCOE aims to empower students by supporting the economically weaker sections and the academically outstanding sections of society through scholarships so that these sections can pursue quality higher education. The students are given financial assistance in order to meet their day-to-day expenses while studying.
These scholarships are awarded to the candidates on the basis of HSC results, aptitude tests, and personal interviews. The students' eligibility to apply for the scholarships is that they must have passed HSC from Maharashtra State Board/ CBSE/ICSE and DSE in the age group of 18-25 years.
